Easter ice-cream slice

This dessert is super easy, super delicious but NOT very healthy, but Easter is only once a year right, so enjoy.

I made this last year and it was a crowd pleaser amongst our family. It makes for a wonderful Easter dessert, and you can add or omit anything you like to suit your taste. Even better, it only requires a handful of ingredients and only takes ten minutes to put together.

Easter ice-cream Slice

Ingredients –
One Tub of Blue Ribbon Vanilla ice-cream
2 packets of ice-cream sandwiches (I used Aldi, but Coles and Woolies sell them too)
Chocolate and or Caramel/Honeycomb topping
2 Snickers bar Sliced
1 Cadbury Flake chocolate bar (optional)


Method –

  1. Place 4 ice-cream sandwiches in the bottom of your dish, (Cut or break your sandwich bars to fit if need be), and don’t worry of you have a few little gaps. Then add a GENEROUS layer of slightly softened ice-cream and spread evenly with a spatula.
  2. Repeat with another 4 biscuits and for the final layer, mix the Flake bar through the ice-cream and then layer it on top.
  3. Finally, drizzle with your topping and add your sliced Snickers bars. Cover with Glad wrap and foil, and pop in the freezer for at least 1 hour before serving.  You can most certainly make it a few days in advance. When you are ready to serve your creamy delicious masterpiece,  add a few solid Easter eggs.



Variations –

Choc Mint – Use mint ice-cream, Aero bars on top and mint eggs.
Bubblegum – A crazy kids version could be Bubblegum ice-cream and Marvellous creations chocolates with popping candy.
Caramel – Caramel ice-cream and Mars Bars

Play around and have fun, half the fun is getting adventurous. If you love Cherry Ripes, use them. If you prefer chocolate ice-cream, use that instead. just make what you and your loved ones will demolish really ha ha….
