Caramel Slice Recipe

Caramel Slice is a classic that NEVER gets old or goes out of fashion, can I get an amen? I have equal love for both caramel and milk chocolate so this slice is pretty much inhaled at the speed of light, but that’s ok, it’s worth it and super easy to make.

This recipe is quick and only requires four ingredients, get it in your face hole STAT!

Great for a treat, party or dessert table and makes the perfect gift.

Ingredients
250g packet of Arnott’s Malt ‘o’ milk biscuits
1 395g tin of sweetened condensed milk
(Nestle and Woolworths Homebrand are the best for this recipe)
90g melted butter
250g bag of Cadbury milk chocolate melts

Hot tip – Be a rebel and add two cans of sweetened condensed milk for an ultra thick caramely (did just make up a word) experience!

Method
STEP 1. Pre-heat oven to 180C fan forced.
STEP 2. Blitz biscuits in a food processor until they resemble sand like crumbs and then add the melted butter and blitz again to combine. Press into a slice tray and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
STEP 3. Pour the condensed milk over the base.
STEP 4. Reduce oven temperature to 160c and bake for 35 minutes. (Keep an eye on it, if it’s golden and bubbling prior to this time, it’s ready.
STEP 5. Carefully remove slice from oven.
STEP 6. Melt chocolate in the microwave or using a double boiler and then pour onto the slice spreading evenly with a spatula.
STEP 7. Cool. (If it’s a hot day, pop slice in the fridge for 20-40 minutes to set the chocolate), then cut into squares or fingers.

Store in the refrigerator for up to a week (although I doubt it will last that long). Enjoy

    Thank you for your message.
In all honesty, I have only been blogging for a few months so I am probably not the best person to offer advice as I am still learning myself, but enjoying every second of it none the less.
My best tip would be to start pages on social media and build an audience who would like to read your posts.
All the very best, I wish you much success and I hope you enjoy blogging as much as I do.
